Carton House – Digital Image Rostrum

A client of ours asked us if we could create a TV commercial just using images from a hotel brochure. Now, we could have rolled out a bog-standard 2D edit with a slight panning effect but no.

Using a Digital Image Rostrum, we took the hi-res 2D images and recreated them into a 3D space. This allowed us to create dynamic movement, depth of field and additional moving FX such as snow, rain, sparkles… whatever you want!

It basically makes static 2D images look like live-action, giving you and your clients so many more creative options without the heavy costs of a live shoot.

If you need to create digital content, commercials or corporate work for a very competitive rate, just call us for advice or a quote, we’d love to hear from you.

Irish Design 2015 – Our future is in our hands

We love these gigs – make it sound like what it isn’t, yay! In The Company of Huskies kindly asked us to sound-design and mix this very nice digital content for their client, ID 2015. Irish Design 2015 promotes and celebrates our designers across Ireland and internationally. You can find out more at http://www.irishdesign2015.ie/

Big thanks to Laura Cronin, Greg McLaughlin, Ben McDonald and Nick Kelly in Huskies for the gig, here’s to lots more in 2015 *clink*

Iarnród Éireann – Relaxed Fares

While Bounce were heading on the 2.20pm train to Cork for the Sharks, a crew from Publicis were on a different train filming this fantastic advert for Iarnród Éireann, which John had the pleasure of sound designing.

The idea of a conversation between two passengers falling asleep while travelling comes across very well under the direction of Luke Fanklin, but all credit must go to Enda Mac Nally and Cian Tormey for coming up with a great concept under the watchful eye of producer Cherie Clarke.

Just in case you wondered the background sounds do include some from Bounce’s journey down too, Kinsale was not all about fun you know!

Hunky Dorys – Release your taste-suds!

Aaaaaaah bath-time… a simple, timeless pleasure. And while your skin goes wrinkly, let your taste-buds go crinkly with Hunky Dorys latest “Satisfy Yourself” campaign for TV, Cinema and Digital. Bounce recorded and mixed this gloriously tongue-in-cheek commercial which conveys the perfect bathing experience, finished off with a climactic taste explosion, albeit…. underwater.

“Satisfy Yourself” was created by Emma Sharkey and Ray Swan, and produced by Onagh Carolan in McCann Blue. The production was handled by Pull the Trigger and directed by Ritchie Smith. It’s great to see humour playing a greater part in Irish commercials again; sure don’t we live for it?

Armagayddon is coming – what will YOU be wearing?

Gadzooks, the end of civilisation as we know it is nigh, the gayers are seeking equal rights!! We were honoured to mix this funny take on modern Irish conservatism, in advance of the Referendum on same-sex marriage in 2015. The video was produced by Lisa Gallgher and directed by Martin Gaughan of Like Minded Productions. Credit also to Carly Butler and crew in Windmill Lane, who looked after the visuals.

Armagayddon was made for LGBT Noise, to promote their March for Equality on Sunday August 24th. The march was attended by over 8,000 people and the video is cresting 200,000 hits to date. Hopefully, we all do the right thing next year and enshrine this basic right into law. The only way homosexuality can threaten straight marriage is if one of you is gay. Enjoy the video!
